Bird Behavior - Bird Behavior is an international and interdisciplinary journal zoology that publishes research on avian behavior, including the zoology areas of ethology, behavioral ecology, comparative psychology, and zoology behavioral neuroscience. Genetically speaking, therefore, mixed ESSs can be polymorphic or monomorphic. Females may choose on the basis of genetic quality, but in a relative rather than absolute sense. An animal’s behaviour is the result of natural selection over past generations favoured by selection (Deag 1996).

I do not claim to be able to “fix” their problems, although very often this is the outcome. Animal welfare without knowledge is impossible.
